Cindy Dern

For more than 25 years, Cindy Dern, LCSW, has brought passion and integrity to her life’s work as a holistic-oriented psychotherapist and workshop facilitator. She works with both individuals and groups, and provides training for personal and professional development.

Cindy taught at Omega Institute since 1987. Beginning as the dance/movement instructor, she soon became the lead teacher for 15 years for Omega’s Introduction to Omega Living Weekend. She now teaches Listening to Your Body, an experiential workshop designed to help individuals live more fully in their body and with greater vitality in their lives.

In addition to her Master’s degree in social work, Cindy utilizes her specialized training in mind-body approaches to help others heal, evolve, and flourish. These methods include EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing); guided imagery; relaxation skills; dance/movement therapy; and SE (Somatic Experiencing). Integrating traditional and holistic approaches for healing in all of her work, providing a safe place to enhance well-being, she supports people of all ages who are dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, trauma, eating disorders, addictions, physical illness, stress, transitions and spirituality.

Cindy Dern also has produced and recorded the CD, Seeds of Peace: Relaxation and Guided Imagery.
