For more than 25 years, Cindy Dern, LCSW, has brought passion and integrity to her life’s work as a psychotherapist and workshop facilitator. She maintains a full-time private practice in holistic-oriented psychotherapy, working with both individuals and groups, and provides training for personal and professional development.
Dern has been teaching at Omega Institute since 1987. Beginning as the dance/movement instructor, she became the lead teacher for Omega’s Introduction to Omega Living Weekend, a wellness program, which she taught for 15 years. She now teaches Listening to Your Body, an experiential workshop designed to help individuals live more fully in their body to enhance their vitality and serenity.
In addition to having a master’s degree in social work, Dern brings her specialized training in mind-body approaches to help others heal, evolve, and flourish. These methods include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR); guided imagery; dance/movement therapy; and relaxation skills. She supports people of all ages who are dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, trauma, body image issues, physical illness, stress, transitions, and spirituality. Dern integrates traditional and holistic approaches for healing, providing a safe place to enhance well-being.
Cindy Dern also produced and recorded the CD, Seeds of Peace: Relaxation and Guided Imagery.
