Kris Carr

Kris Carr, founder of the award-winning website Crazysexylife.com, is a motivational speaker, wellness coach, and author of the Crazy Sexy Cancer book series, including Crazy Sexy Diet. She is also the subject of the inspirational documentary, Crazy Sexy Cancer, which she wrote and directed for TLC to chronicle her four-year journey healthfully living with stage-four cancer.

As an actress, Carr has worked in theater, film, television, and dozens of commercials, and has held faculty positions with the New York University Tisch School of the Arts. She received her certification in holistic health education from the prestigious Hippocrates Health Institute and holds the distinct honor of being the first spokesperson for the Urban Zen Initiative, Donna Karan’s philanthropic global well-being program.

Carr regularly lectures at medical schools, hospitals, wellness centers, universities, and fundraisers for various cancer organizations, and is a contributing writer for several national magazines. She has been featured on the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric, the Early Show, the Today Show, Good Morning America, and the Oprah Winfrey Show.

In 2006, Kris Carr and her husband, Brian Fassett, whom she met while working on the film Crazy Sexy Cancer, founded the production company Red House Pictures. Through their collaboration with the lifestyle company Gaiam, Red House Pictures is releasing a series of “how-to” wellness videos.
