Winnie Abramson

Winnie Abramson, author of One Simple Change, creates and photographs seasonally inspired recipes for her blog in addition to being a freelance health, fitness, and food writer. Her parents owned the famed Quilted Giraffe restaurant in New York City when she was growing up and she spent much of her childhood in the restaurant’s kitchen.

After college, Winnie spent five years studying naturopathic medicine at Seattle’s Bastyr University, where earned a doctorate degree in 1998. After practicing for several years, she turned her focus on writing. She also has a black belt in karate and trains to compete in powerlifting.
