John Perkins, one of the world’s foremost authorities on shamanism and shapeshifting, is a founder and board member of Dream Change and the Pachamama Alliance, nonprofit organizations devoted to establishing a world our children will want to inherit.
Perkins has studied with indigenous prophets and shamans and taught at universities and learning centers on four continents. A graduate of Boston University’s School of Business Administration, he served in the Peace Corps in the late 1960s and as United States Representative to the United Nations’ International Atomic Energy Agency in the 1970s. He also served as chief economist at the international consulting firm Chas. T. Main, where he worked directly with heads of state and CEOs of major companies. He has advised the World Bank, the United Nations, Fortune 500 corporations, and countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
John Perkins has been featured on ABC Television and the A&E and History networks, and in many publications. He is author of several books on shamanism, including Shapeshifting; The World Is As You Dream It; Spirit of the Shuar, which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize; and the New York Times best-sellers, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man and The Secret History of the American Empire. His books on economics and geo-politics have sold more than 1 million copies and are published in over 30 languages.
