Before founding MoneyZen, Thakor spent 15 years working as an analyst, portfolio manager, and client relations executive at SG Warburg, Atalanta/Sosnoff Capital, Fayez Sarofim & Co., and Sands Capital Management
When she founded MoneyZen in 2012, Thakor wanted to create a firm where women and families with high net worth could receive clear, concise, compassionate financial advice to support their life goals. Thakor also serves as a consultant to TIAA-CREF’s Women’s Engagement Initiative and she is on the National Board of the Girls Scouts of the USA.
Thakor is the coauthor of two personal finance books for women of all income and wealth levels, On My Own Two Feet and Get Financially Naked.
