Women Serving Women & Girls

Women Serving Women & Girls is a program that provides support to nonprofit organizations and other initiatives serving women’s needs and interests. The core element of this program is the Women Serving Women Summit, which provides an organizational grant that covers the cost of a three-day retreat on Omega’s campus in the Hudson Valley. During the Summit, organizations work on self-identified goals such as strategic planning, cultivating leadership, and deepening staff cooperation and commitment.

Additional time is provided to take advantage of all we have to offer on Omega's Rhinebeck campus. Participants are able to take time for personal reflection in our Sanctuary, relax and unwind in our Sauna, visit our extensive collection on holistic studies at the Ram Dass Library. There is also the opportunity to sit by Long Pond Lake, stroll one of our walking trails, join in a game of tennis or basketball, take in the beauty of our gardens, or enjoy one of our daily open classes in tai chi, yoga, meditation, or movement.

By coming together in a supportive environment organizations can experience unique opportunities to discuss shared challenges, identify solutions, and sustain the work of women’s advocates. Organizations and their members become part of the community of change leaders that the OWLC will support through its other programs.
