Mary Rothfusz

Mary Rothfusz received Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) training at Brown Mindfulness Center, Breathworks for chronic pain training, 300 hours of Yoga Teacher Training (YTT), and a master of arts in psychology from City College New York.

She teaches group meditation, workshops, and MBSR. She is also a clinical mental health counseling student at Northwestern University. With plans to become a licensed mental health counselor upon graduation, she is in the process of completing her practicum at Integrative Health at Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Mary is passionate about advocating for those who experience chronic pain and understands how it affects everyday life, having experienced chronic pain of her own through a back injury. She uses mindfulness practices to assist chronic pain management; this has become the catalyst for how she teaches and brings psychoeducation to her clients.
