Terry Jenoure

Terry Jenoure is an experienced artist and facilitator. She has been on the graduate faculty at Lesley University, Antioch College, and Goddard College and was director of Augusta Savage Gallery at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst for 30 years. Her writing is published by SUNY Press, The Sun magazine, Routledge Press, Peter Lang Publishing, Buddy’s Knife, and Paradigm Publishers. 

Also a violinist and composer, Terry has performed throughout the US and Europe. A self-taught visual artist, her work was commissioned by the African American Smithsonian Institute. She has trained educators in the use of the arts for community building and conflict resolution throughout the US, India, South Africa, Mexico, Colombia, and Israel. Terry earned masters and doctoral degrees at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is certified by Amherst Writers and Artists (AWA). She is the recipient of grants from South Arts Jazz Road, Massachusetts Cultural Council, New England Foundation for the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
