Shai Plonski is codirector of Still Light Centre in Toronto, Canada, and a yoga teacher in the tradition of Madan Bali. Previously, he was senior teacher at the renowned Lotus Palm School of Thai Yoga Massage. Since 2002, he has been working and training intensively under Kam Thye Chow, founder of the Lotus Palm school. Plonski is also a yoga teacher in the tradition of Madan Bali. His teaching emphasizes fundamental principles of body mechanics that allow Thai yoga massage to develop into an intuitive form of bodywork.
In 1997, Plonski embarked on a lifelong journey of exploring touch as a way to deepen one's connection with spirit. He had his first exposure to Thai massage in 1999 while traveling in Thailand. Upon returning to his native Quebec, he worked closely with Kam Thye Chow, one of the original North American teachers of Thai massage. Under the tutelege of Kam Thye Chow, Shai Plonski learned the practice and taught Thai massage, acting as manager of Kam Thye Chow's school, and eventually developing curriculum, including the Teacher Training program and advanced training courses.
Over the past decade, Shai Plonski has taught at some of the largest yoga centers in the world. He brings a passionate and patient approach to his teaching, confident that anyone can excel at giving Thai massage and unlocking the secrets of universal touch. He and his wife Megan Shane are cofounders of the Still Light Centre based in Toronto, Ontario.
