Woman writing in a notebook in a park

Writing and sharing your words in a room full of women is empowering and freeing. Join Krista Vernoff, bench the inner critic, and embody the truth that there’s no wrong way to write.

Krista Vernoff says expressive writing can help you get the feelings out of your body and onto the page.

If you have stories inside you that want to be told but you don't know how to start, this is the workshop for you. Expressive writing improves mood, mental health, and the immune system. The writing prompts are often the perfect, bite-sized, jumping-off points for larger creative endeavors.

Just by putting pen to paper a little bit every day, you validate your lived experience, your feelings, your creativity, and your right to write. Expressive writing is a healing modality, and it's not just for writers (but if you are a writer, it will surely deepen your work).

Since we are working to free our natural voices and tell our stories, sharing is a fundamental part of the experience. Yet no one will be forced to read their writing to the large group. Feedback in this class comes in the form of support and encouragement, not criticism.
