Balance and poise are obvious aspects of strength and self-confidence. Less obvious signs include relaxation, openness, and adaptability. This workshop uses posture as a springboard to examine the connection between physical well-being and emotional empowerment.
We depend on our cultures to help us develop healthy movement and posture habits. In modern times this support has eroded and even become counter-productive, with posture cues such as “chin up, chest out” and “sit up straight” undermining our structural integrity.
You gain a clear understanding of how to improve your particular posture and restore your natural, healthy, and confident body-mind. Expend just a little intellectual and physical effort, and learn to improve your way of being in the world.
