Join Glen Velez on a path of ecstatic self-discovery using two essential shamanic instruments, the frame drum and shaker.

Glen Velez, known as the founding father of the modern frame drum movement, performs Silver Lining among the Ottoman arts display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Glen Velez, four-time Grammy Award winner and founding father of the modern frame drum movement, is regarded as a legendary figure among musicians and audiences worldwide. Drawing inspiration from his album Rhythms of the Chakras, Glen takes us on a journey of sound healing to focus awareness, stimulate, and activate each chakra.

Using two essential shamanic instruments, frame drum and shaker, we explore the energy fields around the body. Drawing on our innate awareness of the special qualities of our corporeal left and right, as well as our bodies' electric connection to the earth, the two instruments lead us on a path of ecstatic self-discovery.

Focusing our attention on the ergonomic production of sound through repetition, simple movement, and vocalization, we easily learn the fundamentals of these two elemental instruments.

No prior experience is necessary. Frame drums and shakers are provided.
