Gain tangible tools to develop trauma-informed self-care and support your own well-being as you care for others with somatic counselor Hala Khouri.

This workshop is part of Omega's Yoga Service initiative.

Listen as Hala Khouri breaks down the three types of trauma: shock trauma, developmental trauma, and institutional trauma.

It can be hard for those of us drawn to supporting others to prioritize ourselves. Often this is because our own survival is linked to making sure those around us are okay.

Join somatic counselor and yoga teacher Hala Khouri in this weekend retreat designed as a holistic experience to support anyone in the helping professions gain tools to support their own well-being.

Learning to care for ourselves is not only about developing habits to support our own healing and resilience, it's also about unlearning habits that keep us in states of anxiety and survival. Our time together includes:

  • Psychoeducation on the impact of stress and trauma
  • Self-reflection
  • Somatic tools to support nervous system regulation
  • Opportunities to connect with others

If you are a teacher, therapist, medical provider, social worker, healer, activist, or caretaker, this is a space to be around others who also are trying to find ways to be well while supporting others. This is a time to reset and rest while walking away with tangible tools to support your well-being.
