13 Hands Equine Rescue is a nonprofit organization, accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries, that rescues unwanted, abused, and abandoned horses.
Located in Clinton Corners, just 6 miles from Omega Institute, 13 Hands Equine Rescue is a true refuge. Home to more than 150 horses, from minis to drafts—as well as donkeys, mules, goats, rabbits, cats, dogs and more—this is a place where animals can rest, heal, regain strength, and find new purpose.
Some of the horses that make their way to 13 Hands will be adopted into loving homes, some stay and support humans through a range of therapeutic and educational programming, and others (like our relocated mustangs) become permanent residents peacefully living out their lives in sanctuary.
