Charlotte Rotterdam is a Buddhist teacher, contemplative educator, and coauthor of Skymind.

Charlotte Rotterdam draws on decades of dedicated study and practice to share the rich teachings of Tibetan Buddhism and its application to modern life. Partners in life, teaching, and parenting with Pieter Oosthuizen, their courses and retreats are offered online and worldwide. She is a senior teacher (lopön) at Tara Mandala retreat center, founded by Lama Tsultrim Allione. She has studied with Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche, Lama Tharchin Rinpoche, Lama Wangdu Rinpoche, and Orgyen Khakhyab Lingpa Rinpoche, among others.

Raised in New York City, Charlotte received a master’s degree in theological studies at Harvard Divinity School. She is faculty at Naropa University and directs the Center for the Advancement of Contemplative Education. She is coauthor of Skymind: The Radical Path of Open Awareness, which highlights the nature of mind teachings of the 11th-century Tibetan yogini Machig Labdrön and its application to modern life.
