Ellen Vora, MD, is a mind-body medicine practitioner, board-certified psychiatrist, acupuncturist, and yoga teacher. She takes a functional medicine approach to mental health, considering the whole person and addressing imbalance at the root.

Her journey into holistic healing began during her arduous years of medical residency, which complicated her own mental and physical well-being. In addition to becoming a board-certified psychiatrist, Dr. Vora sought answers beyond the realm of traditional medicine. She trained as an acupuncturist, studied both integrative and functional medicine, and traveled to Bali to become a certified yoga instructor.

In 2022, she published her first book, The Anatomy of Anxiety: Understanding the Body’s Fear Response. She received her MD from Columbia University.
