Isle McElroy is the author of The Atmospherians, a New York Times Editors’ Choice, and People Collide, which was named a best book of 2023 by Vogue, NPR, Vulture, and the New York Times critics. Other work appears in The Cut, The Believer, The New York Times Magazine, Vulture, and elsewhere. They have received fellowships from the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, the Black Mountain Institute, the Tin House Summer Workshop, The Elizabeth George Foundation, and the National Park Service.
