Joni Staaf-Stamford

Joni Staaf-Stamford is a retreat leader, licensed professional counselor, speaker, and author who has spent more than 20 years helping people cultivate greater presence, curiosity, emotional intelligence, and resilience in an increasingly demanding world. Her work explores the intersection of mindfulness, psychology, neuroscience, and intentional living, inviting people to reconnect with one of their greatest human strengths: the capacity to pause, wonder, and choose their own path.

Through her practice, Insight with Joni, Joni designs and facilitates retreats, workshops, and experiential learning programs that help participants strengthen awareness, reclaim attention, and navigate life's challenges with greater clarity and intention. Her interdisciplinary approach integrates counseling psychology, mindfulness, neuroscience, contemplative practice, and experiential learning to create meaningful experiences that foster lasting personal growth. She is passionate about helping people rediscover their innate sense of agency, recognizing that even in a world filled with constant distraction and rapidly evolving technology, we always have the ability to choose how we respond. She has led retreats, workshops, and presentations throughout the United States and internationally, working with educators, health-care professionals, counselors, business leaders, and community organizations.

Joni holds a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, and is a Kripalu-trained ERYT-500 yoga and meditation teacher. She teaches graduate-level courses as an adjunct instructor and is the author of The Space to Choose and The AI Antidote.
