Katie Down, LCAT, MT-BC, is a licensed creative arts therapist, music psychotherapist, and sound facilitator with 20 years of clinical experience. Her approach to holistic health stems from years of working from an integrative model incorporating Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Internal Family Systems, Focusing, EMDR, sound, music and movement to help clients navigate and release past traumas, heal relationships, support career changes, and illuminate the self-actualization process.

Katie has been at the forefront of integrating sound and music therapy, training music therapists, psychologists, and healing arts professionals to utilize sound and music as powerful tools for transformation in clinical work. Her students range from doctors to social workers, arts therapists, board-certified music therapists, holistic-healing practitioners, and anyone interested in learning how to incorporate more sound and deep listening practice into their personal and professional lives for continued health and well-being.

Katie is the co-founder of the Arts and Wellbeing Gathering, a consortium of artists and healing arts professionals who meet monthly to explore the intersection of their disciplines through experiential practices rooted in play.
