Rachel Jonte is a folk-herbalist, ceremonialist, intuitive guide, and farmer rooted in Oceanside, California. Rachel helps run the popular global herbalist program, School of the Sacred Wild, with director Marysia Miernowska, and is a founding board member of the Sanctuary of the Sacred Wild, a nonprofit spiritual organization based on the school’s traditions. Rachel owns Evernew Acres, a beautiful 7-acre organic farm, where she and her husband grow avocados, coffee, passionfruit, and dozens of other exotic fruits. Rachel teaches classes, provides one-on-one intuitive herbal sessions, and makes hand-crafted herbal medicine products from her extensive garden of at least 75 different medicinal plants.
With a background of two decades in communications and fundraising for nonprofit scientific research organizations, Rachel’s offerings today are fueled by scientific literacy, a lifelong devotion to the natural world and a deep spiritual practice of communion with the divine in many forms. Rachel’s highest joy is helping people deepen their connection to the Earth, embody their own power to nourish and heal themselves, and unleash their unique gifts to be expressed in the world.
