Raun K. Kaufman is an international lecturer/seminar leader and graduate of Brown University with a degree in biomedical ethics. He is the author of the book Autism Breakthrough: The Groundbreaking Method That Has Helped Families All Over the World. The former chief executive of an international autism training nonprofit, Raun has spent the past quarter-century working with families, children, professionals, and educators from more than 100 different countries. As a child, he was diagnosed with so-called “severe” (non-speaking) autism and recommended for lifelong institutionalization. A best-selling book and award-winning movie were made about Raun’s remarkable journey of overcoming his challenges.

Together with Kate C. Wilde, Raun developed the Safe To Connect autism approach (using a neurodivergence-aligned methodology built around a true understanding of the autistic experience), the Safety Within You approach to mental and emotional well-being (using a brain-centered, nervous-system-friendly, heart-led methodology), and the concept of the Neuro-Crash.
