Trish Magyari, MS, CGC, MS, LCPC, RYT-200 is a certified Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) teacher, certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teacher, a mindfulness and compassion-based psychotherapist, Insight Meditation teacher, yoga teacher, and a trauma-informed retreat leader. She has taught in 12 successful clinical trials using mindfulness and self-compassion for those with chronic pain conditions, those with trauma from childhood sexual abuse, those who are HIV positive, and for moms of babies in the NICU; at the National Institutes of Health, at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, and at the University of Maryland Center for Integrative Medicine. 

Trish leads Mindfulness and Self-Compassion silent retreats and has assisted in multi-day programs or silent retreats for Tara Brach, Chris Germer, Kristin Neff, Steve Hickman, and Michelle Becker. She was a consultation group mentor in the inaugural Self-Compassion in Psychotherapy program (SPIP) and a mentor in the 2-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program. 

Trish has led more than150 daylong mindfulness and self-compassion retreats since 1992, and a dozen weeklong silent retreats, both in person and online. She has published two seminal book chapters on trauma-informed mindfulness and is sought-after trainer and consultant on these topics.
