Anam Thubten, one of the rising Buddhist teachers in the West, grew up in Tibet and began at an early age to practice in the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. Among his many teachers, his most formative guides were Lama Tsurlo, Khenpo Chopel, and Lama Garwang.
Thubten is the founder and spiritual advisor of Dharmata Foundation, and teaches widely in the United States and occasionally abroad. He is renowned for teaching on the nature of the mind, combining humor, personal stories, and the wisdom he has found on his own spiritual journey.
