Dion Flynn, MFA, BA, is a teacher, improvisor, comedian, performer, writer, and army veteran best known for his impersonation of Barack Obama on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, among his more than 100 appearances on the show.

Oprah Winfrey’s O Magazine cited Dion as “One of our Favorite Creative Thinkers.” When he was young he thought he might grow up to be a doctor, but instead got a master’s degree in acting and spent almost two decades in comedy and late night television. It was there there he learned that the tools of improvisation are not just some high-wire stunt for the comedically gifted, but a set of spiritually-based and scientifically proven instruments for the rest of us. Tools which could do a lot to bring the people of this world together.

In his 40 years in the performing arts, Dion Flynn discovered that the skills he used on stage and TV for both improvisational and scripted comedy, parallel the skills needed in recovery from addiction, and furthermore that these tools also came in handy for basic human development. His Improvisor's Mindset trains people to apply these classical theatrical skills to their lives. The Improvisor's Mindset has helped hundreds of people in a wide range of fields.

Dion has performed with, taught, or led improv workshops for MTV, VH-1, Logo, Rock The Vote, Google, PNC Bank, Herman Miller, The M&A Advisor, Ardent, Maersk, PWC, Ecolab, The North Carolina Lawyers Association, and more. He holds a master’s of fine arts degree in acting from New York University’s Graduate Acting program.
