Kath Meadows

Kath Meadows MA, RYT 500, is director of Women Prisoner Initiatives at the Prison Yoga Project. She is author of A Woman’s Practice: Healing from the Heart, which offers a gender-informed, trauma-sensitive guide to the self-healing practices of yoga for women in all bodies, and is available for free to women prisoners. 

Meadows has been teaching yoga and mindful awareness practices to incarcerated men and women, and prison staff, since 2010. She is the leader of Prison Yoga Project’s innovative RYT 200 yoga teacher training for prisoners at Maryland Correctional Institution for Women.

Her work has been recognized by Yoga Journal and the Give Back Yoga Foundation.
