Renee Baribeau is the Hay House author of Winds of Spirit: Ancient Wisdom Tools for Navigating Relationships, Health, and the Divine. She is a wind whistler, soul coach, inspirational speaker, and workshop leader, known and respected for her down-to-earth approach.

During her life, the wind gods have steered Baribeau’s recovery journey in many directions. A former chef, she opened Central New York’s first farm-to-table restaurant, Brown Bagger’s, in Syracuse in 1987. In 2005, Baribeau established the Desert Holistic Network in Palm Desert, California, an online regional resource directory, and since 2013, she has worked for Foundations Recovery Network, a national system of residential treatment facilities. Baribeau has also served as the resident shaman at We Care Spa in Desert Hot Springs, California.

An initiated shamanic practitioner with 30 years’ experience, Baribeau has been teaching the Wind Work® System since 2010 at the Bhakti and Shakti Festivals in California and online. She is an emerging scholar with Religion in Society Research Network, and leads Wind Walker’s Tours to Mexico and Peru.

As a writer, Baribeau is a featured contributing blogger for Elephant Journal and has also contributed chapters to the anthologies Pearls of Wisdom: 30 Inspirational Ideas to Live Your Best Life Now and The Five Principles of Everything. She makes her home in the California desert and Whidbey Island, Washington.
