Ruediger Dahlke

Ruediger Dahlke is a physician and cofounder of the TamanGa Retreat Center in Austria and the Heilkundezentrum Dahlke in Germany. Dahlke spent more than three decades developing the philosophy behind Transformative Medicine, and now leads workshops some 340 days a year in Europe.

Dahlke is the leading faculty member of the Certificate in Transformative Medicine, an online program offered through the Center for a New Mainstream. Transformative Medicine advances the idea that illness begins in the mind, and exploring symptoms—rather than making them invisible with drugs and surgery—can result in better health and rich personal growth.

He is the author of 60 books that support this idea, including The Healing Power of Illness: Understanding What Your Symptoms Are Telling You, Illness as a Language of the Soul, Disease as a Symbol, and Female Healing Arts and Depression: Ways Out of the Dark Night of the Soul. He has also written extensively on the shadow, fasting, aggression, and veganism. His books have sold millions of copies and have been translated into 24 languages.
