Scarlett Lewis is founder of The Jesse Lewis Choose Love Foundation. She created the foundation in honor of her six year old son, Jesse Lewis, who was murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, alongside 19 of his classmates and 6 teachers in December of 2012.
Shortly before he died, Jesse left these three words on a chalkboard in the family's kitchen: nurturing, healing, love. The Foundation’s mission is share his message by starting Choose Love Movements and Choose Love Enrichment Programs throughout the world.
To support this mission, Scarlett Lewis speaks internationally, is a leading advocate for social and emotional education in schools, and cultivates a consistent message of compassion in communities.
