Visvambhar Sheth

Visvambhar Sheth is an internationally recognized kirtan singer and inspirational speaker. With a lifelong connection to India and its culture, he began leading kirtan when he was five years old and became a master of the Mridanga drum. Vish has shared his love for kirtan at well-known venues such as BhaktiFest, Omega Institute, Wanderlust, and Beloved.

He is the lead singer of the The Mayapuris, a headlining kirtan group that has rocked stages worldwide. He is also a performer and recording artist with World-beat ensemble, The Hanumen & the Juggernauts. Vish is a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, harmonium, bansuri flute, sitar, cajon, and bass. In this capacity, he accompanies other kirtan singers, like kirtan trailblazer Jai Uttal or Gaura Vani.

Vish speaks Hindi, India’s national language, and moves easily between the paradigms of East and West. He has facilitated pilgrimages to various sacred sites, including the Maha Kumbha Mela, the largest spiritual gathering on earth. Vish holds a B.A. in Religion from University of Florida and lives in Florida with his wife and two children.
