A mango lassi sounds quite exotic, but it's very simple to prepare. A mixture of fruit, yogurt, water, and ice, it's an impressive drink that can be modified to satisfy individual tastes. If my father is preparing it, he likes to add salt and buttermilk instead of yogurt. I prefer sweet and fruity lassis rather than salty lassis. Sometimes, instead of adding just water, I add a cup of delicious almond milk, which makes it uniquely mine. How will you make it uniquely yours?
3/4 cup plain yogurt (French vanilla is also good)
1 cup fresh mango, peeled and chopped (or choose another fruit)
2 cups cold water (approximately)
1 cup of almond milk (optional, but if not adding, use another cup of water)
1 teaspoon ground cardamom
1 tablespoon honey (optional)
1 tablespoon rose water
Place all of the ingredients in a blender and blend away! Serve immediately.
