David D. DeVaughn (he/him) is an Equity-Responsive Leadership coach and food systems change consultant, guiding leaders to foster personal growth and systemic transformation. As founder and managing principal of StrivEquity Consulting LLC, he partners with institutions to dismantle structural barriers through equity-driven strategies across sectors, including food systems, housing, transportation, workforce development, and the criminal legal system.

David brings more than 12 years of experience in food justice and food security policy, having led equity initiatives at both a major anti-hunger nonprofit and a national urban policy firm. A certified coach (ICF), sought-after facilitator, and recognized thought leader, David holds a master’s in public administration from Baruch College and a BA in American Studies/Latine Studies from Williams College. Originally from Chestnut Hill and Brockton, Massachusetts, he is passionate about cultivating spaces where Black and Brown leaders can thrive.
