Elisabeth Nails is a social worker and program designer with more than 15 years of experience using the arts as a catalyst for healing, youth development, and cross-system collaboration. She leads Creative Wellbeing at the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture, an award-winning initiative serving more than 12,000 youth and 20,000 adults annually across child welfare, mental health, foster care, and justice systems. Her work centers on restorative practice, trauma-informed design, and partnerships that expand equitable access to healing-centered care. She is also cochair of the Los Angeles Suicide Prevention Network’s Youth Advisory Board and cofounder of Typewriters Anonymous, a community celebrating analog joy and storytelling. Her career spans creative practice, research, arts education, community-based program design, and advocacy.
