Eugene Kwak is an architect, educator, and founder of Togather, a place-based initiative that connects land, food, and culture to support a regenerative and just future. His work centers on advancing land access and housing for beginning farmers, while guiding farmland owners toward long-term stewardship and collaborative partnerships. By blending education, dialogue, and innovative land-use models, he helps landowners play a vital role in strengthening local food systems. He also collaborates with chefs and culinary leaders to influence consumer behavior and regional food culture.

Eugene is an assistant professor at Farmingdale State College, SUNY, where he leads teaching and research in community-centered design and sustainability. Togather, now home to a growing network of farms, has been featured in the New York Times, Dwell, TEDx, and more. It was recognized with the Green Good Design Award. Eugene serves on the New York Advisory Council of the American Farmland Trust.
