Kenny Perkins, Kanienkehaka Mohawk of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, is the founder and project manager of the Akwesasne Seed Hub (ASH), which works to empower the Mohawk community through a dedicated language and culture-oriented learning and production center. Located on 160-plus acres of land adjacent to the longest-standing Mohawk immersion school on the St. Regis Mohawk Reservation in Akwesasne, New York, ASH focuses on cultivating both a durable local food and seed hub, and strengthening intertribal trade and kinship routes across the Haudenosaunee Confederacy.
