Marcos Stafne, PhD, is the Chief Business Officer at Omega Institute. He brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience across cultural institutions, museums, and mission-driven organizations.

Throughout his career, Marcos has collaborated with leading organizations in arts and science education, environmental preservation and conservation, and land stewardship to deliver accessible programming to diverse communities across the country.

Prior to joining Omega, Marcos served as executive director of White Feather Farm, a regenerative learning landscape, organic farm, and biochar research hub in the Hudson Valley. He previously led GallopNYC, a nonprofit providing equine-assisted services to New Yorkers with disabilities and served as executive director of Montshire Museum of Science in Vermont. Additional roles include director of learning experiences at the Wildlife Conservation Society's zoos and aquarium, vice president of programs and visitor experience at Brooklyn Children's Museum, and director of education and visitor experience at the Rubin Museum of Himalayan Art.

Marcos holds a doctorate degree in urban education from the City University of New York Graduate Center, a master of arts degree in theatre from Hunter College, and a bachelor of arts degree from Rollins College. He is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, with a deep personal commitment to mindfulness in education and the transformative power of equine-assisted learning. He serves on the board of High & Mighty Therapeutic Riding and Driving Center in Ghent, New York.
