Explore all of the stages of publishing a book and get started on your journey with the publisher and editors at Shambhala Publications.

If you've ever thought about publishing a book, join Shambhala Publications experts for this unique opportunity to explore the nuts and bolts of the publishing industry. Through lecture, question-and-answer sessions, and a panel discussion with Shambhala authors, you delve deep into the stages of publishing a book, including:

  • How to write a book proposal
  • Refining your audience and idea
  • The role of agents and editors
  • Understanding offers, advances, and contracts
  • What to expect in the writing, editing, and design phases
  • The importance of titles and book design

We also discuss the importance of an author's platform and how to get your book out into the world. On Saturday, enjoy a panel discussion with Shambhala authors who share their experience and answer your questions. Gain an understanding of your next steps, and get ready to embark on your publishing journey.

Note: We will not be workshopping ideas or reviewing pitches during this workshop.
