Wounds and Remedies in our Charts: Chiron in Taurus and Remedies for a New Cycle

Expert astrologers guide us through the tremendous shift of cycles during the annual Astrology Conference.

Conference presenters share the magic of the Astrology Conference and the inspiration that brings this unique event together.

The challenges of evolution confront us with limitations, obstacles, and adversities. As we strive to grow and thrive, the risk of wounding is constant. Wounds can be physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual. Each planet brings an intention for growth, a risk of hurting, and remedies for healing.

For example: Jupiter brings the wounds of bigotry or excess. Saturn brings the wounds of oppression or penance. Neptune holds the spiritual wound of cynicism and loss of faith.

During this magical conference, expert voices of modern astrology weave their individual threads of thought into a beautiful cosmic tapestry. They share astrological wisdom, and use sound, dream work, and small group conversations to foster understanding and support self-realization and empowerment.

Whatever your level of astrological knowledge, you emerge from this weekend with a clearer perspective of astrology, how healing can show in our charts, and how to be part of the Great Shift we are experiencing here on Earth.

If you are an absolute beginner in astrology, you will be directed upon registration to foundational literature that provides you with references to better understand your astrology chart and benefit from the contents of the retreat.

Teachers are subject to change.

Chiron in Taurus, The Alchemy of Healing
With Lynn Bell
Of all the points in our chart, Chiron speaks to our nature as both animal and human, earthbound and wise in understanding, foresightful and mysterious. Chiron is always a planet of personal initiation. It helps us step into a larger self, and it does this often through an experience of personal wounding. The inner work that follows is the key to the alchemy of healing.

Chiron enters Taurus on the day of the retreat, June 19, the most rooted of signs. It is returning to the sign in which it was first discovered in 1977. So much has changed in those 49 years, in the way we experience nature, resources, food, and our fellow living creatures. Chiron will speak to us about our embodiment during the seven years it spends in the sign. Above all, it enters Taurus soon after the outer planets spring into air and fire long term, holding us to earth, to our physical self, calling us to smell, and touch, to caress the living world around us.

8:35 p.m.–9:00 p.m.
Rite of Fire & Air: The Bee Mistress and the Drone
With Merryman Cassels
The bee mistress knows the language of flame and wind. She listens where breath becomes fire and thought becomes flight. The drone answers her call, his wings stirring the air with devotion. Together they weave the rhythm of transformation: breath, will, and imagination.

On this night, Venus in Leo glows tender after her meeting with Pluto in Aquarius, carrying the imprint of vulnerability and the strength to love again. The sun and Uranus in Gemini open the mind to revelation, while Saturn and Neptune in Aries forge courage from the unseen. Fire and Air join as the elements of creative awakening, purifying, quickening, alive.

The bee mistress lights the central candle. The drone moves around it, stirring the air into song. Together, participants tone a shared hum that rises with the flame, each breath adding to the current of healing light. The rite concludes in silence as they carry the inner fire with them, walking into the night while listening for the wind that whispers through the hive of stars.

SATURDAY

9:00 a.m.–10:30 a.m.
Weaving the Dreams & Wounds and Remedies of Jupiter
With Merryman Cassels
When Rhea gave birth to Zeus, she hid her infant son in a cave on Mount Ida in Crete to save him from his father, Cronus, who swallowed each of his children after hearing a prophecy that one of them would overthrow him. In the chthonic earth, the child was nourished by the goat Amalthea and fed honey by the Melissae, the bee-maidens of the goddess Rhea. Their hum concealed his cries and wrapped him in a field of sound, creating a rhythm that soothed and protected him. These forces would later shape his dominion as Jupiter, both generous and untamed.

The Melissae also carried the power of the sting, for in the natural order both poison and medicine flow from the same source. Just as bee venom can heal through apitherapy, Jupiter’s energy reveals that expansion and excess, wisdom and hubris, are born from the same fire. We will explore how Jupiter's myth reveals the remedy within the wound, showing how the same force that consumes can also bless.

10:40 a.m.–12:10 p.m.
Falling Towers, Rising Mountains: Healing Ourselves In the Thick of Planetary Storms
With Maurice Fernandez
Planetary cycles represent the continual cycles of birth, embodiment, and decay. The spiral of evolution is a demanding initiation that not only prompts us to learn, but also reconfigures our psyche and constitution. As our nervous and emotional systems are processing all that we go through, we need to continually upgrade our immunity. As we become greater beings, more conscious, and faster in coordination, we also face deeper vulnerabilities.

In our current context, we are just emerging from the dramatic impact of the Saturn/Neptune conjunction where many of the systems that once sustained our lives have eroded. Future cycles of Pluto and Saturn will break our molds with the aim to build new vessels. What are the strategies to best handle these titanic forces, make the best of them, and remain wholesome.

2:00 p.m.–3:30 p.m.
Outdoor Group Activation
With All Speakers
The audience breaks into small groups with 4 faculty group leaders: Lynn, Rachel, Merryman, and Maurice, for an interactive discussion about wounds and remedies in the chart.

3:40 p.m.–5:00 p.m.
The Moon as Healer: From Primordial Wounds to Inner Peace
With Rachel Lang
The moon carries our most intimate experiences and the emotional patterns that shape the way we love, protect, and nurture ourselves. It reveals our deep-seated wounds and the path toward wholeness. In this session, we explore the moon in your birth chart. It's the part of you that longs to be seen, held, and healed.

The moon represents the pre-verbal part of us that reaches for food, nurturing, and comfort. Likewise, it reflects our deepest needs for belonging and survival. It shows us what we need and how we meet those needs.

Through astrology and guided reflection, you discover insight into your primal wounds—and the antidote. The moon shows our unique self-care practices, intuitive wisdom, and innate capacity to nurture ourselves back into balance. It helps us remember that healing is not a destination but a sacred cycle of return. It's a gentle unfolding into self-love.

5:15 p.m.–6:15 p.m.
The Challenges and Remedies of Saturn, Mars, and Uranus
With Lynn Bell
Every planet in our chart can bring a challenge to our very being, and most of us have felt the emotional effects of these three challenging planets: Saturn, Mars, and Uranus. The oppositional energy of Mars brings conflict as well as affirmation. Saturn's rules can feel crushing for our spirit, while Uranus may be expressed in coldness. Each of these "cuts" may wound us for a time, and yet our spirit is called to grow through them, to step beyond them in fortitude, through the growth of the soul and our power to heal. We will explore the remedies of each of these powerful celestial influences.

8:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.
Moonlight Play: Healing the Inner Child (Interactive)
With Rachel Lang
The moon holds the key to our innocence and the tender places that were shaped in childhood. In this evening session, Rachel Lang invites you to bring your moon to life through movement, imagination, and play. This is not a lecture but a living ritual—an opportunity to meet, embody, and gently heal your inner child.

We begin with a short reflection on the moon as the keeper of our emotional body. Then, through guided visualization and group exercises, you'll explore the qualities of your moon sign as if it were a character within you. In small groups, participants invite their inner child to play, expressing its needs, fears, and joys in creative, compassionate ways. Some might be shy moons who crave safety; others might be fiery moons eager to play. There’s no performance—just authentic expression.

Through witnessing and being witnessed, we begin to integrate these tender parts of ourselves. The evening will close with a group reflection and a lunar ritual to anchor the healing of emotional renewal. Leave feeling lighter, more connected, and more attuned to your emotional rhythms—a reminder that the child within you is very lovable!

9:00 p.m.–9:45 p.m.
Rite of Earth and Water: The Bee Mistress and the Drone (Interactive)
With Merryman Cassels
The Bee Mistress knows the language of roots and rain. She listens where the water meets the soil, where memory gathers in pools beneath the world. This evening, Mercury approaches Jupiter in Cancer and the mind fills with feeling, words swelling like tides that carry nourishment to what was unseen. Mars moves through Taurus, steady and deliberate, shaping matter to hold what the heart has dreamed. The moon drifts through Virgo along the Virgo–Pisces nodal path, blessing the work of restoration. These aspects speak in whispers rather than thunder, yet their gentleness endures.

Participants are guided to honor what has felt heavy without trying to change it. The Bee Mistress reminds them that the river does not force the stone; it smooths it through presence. With music that flows like water, they begin to move freely, allowing motion to follow emotion. Hands sweep through the air, tracing invisible currents. Voices open in soft tones and sighs, the sound of water finding its way home.

Dream Prompt:
When you return to your quarters, imagine your bed as a cradle of the living Earth. Feel soft roots supporting you, a mattress of moss holding you close. Let your breath move like gentle water through the body. Ask the Bee Mistress what sweetness she gathers from your tears. Ask the Earth how the water has shaped you. In dream, feel the river carving new space within you, the slow devotion of healing that moves without haste, and the hum of the hive echoing through the canyon of your heart. Each person will receive a piece of paper to write one or two salient points from the dream to bring back in the morning.

SUNDAY
SOLSTICE

5:15 a.m.–6:45 a.m.
Healing of the Soulstice (optional participation)
With Maurice Fernandez & Merryman Cassels

Yoga, Meditation, Chant, and Soulstice Celebration
Summer Solstice Yoga Kriya for Human Kindness
At the height of the sun’s light, we gather to clear the arc line, the luminous bridge between heart and vision, and awaken the radiance of compassion. Through breath, sound, and movement, participants dissolve old impressions from the field of perception and open the halo of awareness that surrounds the body. Once this light is clear, we enter a yoga kriya for human kindness, using rhythmic breath and hum to circulate warmth through the heart and expand the auric field. This practice restores the gentle strength of the inner sun and aligns personal will with the collective pulse of love.

9:00 a.m.–9:45 a.m.
Chiron and the Crossroads of Power: 2028
With Lynn Bell
Chiron and Saturn will keep company in 2028, coming into conjunction, and squaring Pluto at almost the same time. If we have given our power away, this configuration could be deeply uncomfortable for our physical well-being, or even our financial stability. This is a key moment in the Saturn Pluto cycle that began in 2020 when Covid appeared on the scene. The pandemic upended our lives, and undermined our relationship with authority and our trust in expert opinion. This time Chiron will mediate the extremes between Saturn and Pluto. Will it amplify wounds, or help transform and redefine the notion of fate?

9:55 a.m.–10:40 a.m.
Jupiter in Leo: The Power of Love and the Love of Power
With Maurice Fernandez
A powerful, vital, and expansive cycle is upon us. We are on a fast track to reach the sun as Jupiter powers through Leo for the next year. This opportunity to unchain our hearts and spirits can bring us closer to self-realization; and yet light can be blinding, heat can melt our wings. Icarus learned it the hard way: It takes both humility and courage to find true wisdom.

10:55 a.m.–11:40 a.m.
Nodes in Leo/Aquarius: Reclaiming Your Power
With Rachel Lang
Throughout history, we've been conditioned to look to kings, celebrities, and charismatic leaders for direction. We have learned to project our light onto others rather than recognize it within ourselves. With the South Node moving through Leo from July 2026 through May 2028, we are collectively healing an ancient wound around power. We are reconsidering the beliefs around hierarchical authority structures.

Together, we explore how to release patterns of seeking validation or external approval, and how the North Node in Aquarius calls us to build new models of power rooted in connection, cooperation, and collective wisdom. Our evolution now depends not on the singular hero, but on the force for change we form when we rise together.

11:45 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Closing: Weaving our Dreams
With Merriman Cassels
Merriman will synthesize the salient points of our dreams into a collective message.

Epilogue
We are living through a revolution of consciousness that is pushing experts in diverse fields to break with contemporary mechanistic models as they reclaim the validity of magical ancient spiritual traditions. Astrology is at the forefront of this revolution, having served humanity through the centuries across all Indigenous cultures of the globe.

Today, astrology is not only a tool to track future cycles, but also one of the most profound bodies of knowledge for self-realization. Knowing about your own chart can be catalytic, helping you resolve karmic tangles, manifest your true potential, and harmonize with the highest of your soul purposes.
