Note: This workshop takes place off site at Hudson Valley Pickleball and Golf Center in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Pickleball, considered a combination of badminton, tennis, and ping-pong, is the fastest-growing sport in the US. Pickleball is easy to learn, fun, and supportive of physical fitness and community connection.
In this fun-filled workshop with pickleball teacher Francis Comesanas, you hit the courts to learn rules, scoring, different types of shots, and basic strategy.
Over the weekend, you learn the basics of:
- Rules and scoring
- Types of shots, including serves, returns, dinks, volleys, and lobs
- Useful drills
- Basic strategy
Equipment will be provided, but if you have a paddle, please bring it, along with a water bottle.
This workshop is appropriate for those new to the game as well as those who have started playing and are looking to hone their skills.
Tuition includes access to Hudson Valley Pickleball and Golf’s top-of-the-line indoor facility, where all workshop sessions will be held (hvpickleball.com). A voucher for the lunch break between Saturday sessions will also be granted to purchase food at the facility. Participants still have full access to all other activities and meals at Omega.
