Develop practical tools from yoga to help you navigate stress, trauma, and life's challenges with more resilience and peace, guided by Lea Bender.

This workshop is part of Omega's Yoga Service initiative.

Lea Bender invites you explore how the tools of yoga can help to manage trauma.

Trauma doesn't just live in our memories—it settles into our muscles, disrupts our breathing, and keeps our nervous system on high alert, says Lea Bender, a trauma-informed yoga teacher. Join her and discover simple yet powerful tools from yoga to reclaim your sense of safety, calm, and inner strength.

You learn time-tested practices that aid you when your body holds tension or when your mind won't quiet, emerging with practical strategies for maintaining greater peace in daily life. Together, we explore:

  • Breathwork techniques that calm anxiety within minutes
  • Simple movement patterns that release stored tension and restore energy
  • Yoga nidra for profound restorative rest
  • The eight limbs of yoga as a complete wellness system
  • Yoga Sutra teachings for mental clarity and peaceful relationships

All backgrounds and experience levels are welcome, including caregivers and those working with traumatized populations.
