Learn traditional yogic postures and breath practices and discover resources for inner healing with doctor of Chinese medicine James Bae.

This workshop is part of Omega's Yoga Service initiative.

Dr. James Bae demonstrates a Tibetan Yoga breathing practice

Buddhist yoga encompasses the subtle body, breath, and awareness of practices of Tibet, India, and the Himalayan regions. The uniquely embodied and somatic nature of these methods highlights their profound impact on mind-body and trauma healing.

In this retreat, Dr. James Bae draws from his clinical experience in traditional Asian medicine, neuroscience, and somatic therapies around trauma healing, and extensive training in various lineages of traditional Buddhist yoga.

You learn traditional yogic movements and postures, core breath practices, and a variety of meditations. You also explore how to modify these practices for accessibility as well as for autonomic nervous system (ANS) regulation and deepening embodiment and integration.

The integrative nature of Tibetan and tantric Buddhist yoga can illustrate potent ways to weave healing modalities. Throughout the weekend, you discover a broad array of resources for inner healing, transformation, and resilience.
