Grief and loss are always with us. How we choose to engage with them is up to us. Even through the exquisite pain that some losses bring, choosing to grieve consciously can afford us peace, healing, and transformation.
Developed from the Conscious Grieving framework created by Claire Bidwell Smith, this 5-day immersive class gently expands the conversation around grief to include trauma, attachment, identity, and nervous system healing. Licensed psychotherapist Angela Schellenberg leads participants through a compassionate exploration of what grief does to the body, brain, and sense of self—and how we can work with it rather than against it.
Through writing, storytelling, guided meditation, and somatic tools like EFT tapping, bilateral stimulation, and body-based regulation practices, we explore how early attachment patterns shape the way we grieve. Participants will reconnect with their younger selves, reimagine their inner world using narrative and parts work, and deepen their relationship with the person or part of themselves they’ve lost. This class is an invitation to feel your grief consciously—not to fix it, but to befriend it, integrate it, and carry it with more clarity and care.
