Experience the soothing, healthful benefits of the Feldenkrais Method for self-discovery and improvement with senior teacher David Zemach-Bersin.

Feldenkrais lessons communicate with your brain, says David Zemach-Bersin, allowing you to gently attend to your own comfort level and facilitate the magic of learning.

"Feldenkrais's work is innovative, gentle, and strikingly effective."
—Andrew Weil, MD, author of Spontaneous Healing

Join David Zemach-Bersin, one of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais's first American students, for a Feldenkrais workshop open to people of all ages and abilities. David's teaching is enriched by nearly 50 years of experience, guiding people to engage their nervous system's capacity for healing, learning, and change.

We all develop habitual patterns of thinking, feeling, perceiving, and moving. These patterns are an integration of our psychological, emotional, and sensory-motor development. And though some are beneficial, others are not. Some of the habit patterns we formed long ago may now limit us to a lesser experience of life. They may be constraining our emotional and psychological options and contributing to many of our physical problems and challenges.

Feldenkrais lessons access your natural neuroplastic potential for change—your brain’s built-in ability to create new neural connections. With a gentle combination of functionally relevant movements and curious attention, you learn how to free yourself from pain and tension, how to change old, unhelpful habits, and how to discover new, easier, and more pleasurable ways of being, feeling, and doing.

The Feldenkrais Method works by engaging your nervous system in the kind of fundamental learning process to which we all had access as children, but which we lose as we get older. It employs easy-to-do, innovative movement sequences that address every area of the body and all aspects of human functioning. You learn to:

  • Improve your coordination, posture, and flexibility
  • Move more easily and reduce unnecessary muscular effort
  • Find relief from stress
  • Discover new tools for psychological growth and self-regulation
  • Refine artistic and athletic performance and prevent performance-related injuries
  • Attain greater ease and pleasure in all your physical activities
  • Improve the fitness and agility of your brain
The lessons are designed to improve ability, that is, to expand the boundaries of the possible, to turn the impossible into the possible, the difficult into the easy, and the easy into the pleasant.
