In a time of heartbreaking division, polarization, and violence, this workshop offers a path to healing—beginning with ourselves. Drawing from the book Breaking Bias, we explore how ancient Buddhist wisdom and modern neuroscience converge to help us understand and transform the mind virus of separation.
Through guided practices, reflection, and community dialogue, you learn to identify the root causes of bias and discover your primary identity not as the labels that divide us, but as human beings worthy of belonging. Together, we put into practice the five science-backed PRISM tools—perspective-taking, prosocial behavior, individuation, stereotype replacement, and mindfulness—that are proven to measurably reduce bias and restore connection.
This experiential weekend invites you to become a bridgebuilder—someone who can hold the tensions of our time with wisdom and compassion—and apply the art of happiness and belonging in daily life. Through sitting and embodied practices, contemplative exercises, and heartfelt conversations, you develop practical skills for bridging divides within yourself and in the world around you.
This workshop is appropriate for anyone seeking to transform bias, deepen their capacity for connection, and contribute to healing in our fractured world.
