Hours spent on computers, phones, and other screens can leave our eyes tired and strained. In this live online Teachers Studio, holistic optometrist Dr. Marc Grossman and yoga and qigong teacher Daniel Orlansky bring together Eastern and Western approaches to eye care.
Drawing on yoga, qigong, breathwork, Chinese medicine, and the Bates Method, you learn simple, time-tested practices to refresh tired eyes, encourage relaxation, and support lifelong visual health. Learn to use your eyes naturally, let relaxation soothe both mind and eyesight, and restore a healthy balance of inner and outer clarity. Together, we explore integrative approaches that complement medical care for myopia, presbyopia, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eyes, and more.
Through guided practice, discover breathing techniques to support oxygen and circulation; gentle yoga stretches to release tension in the neck and shoulders; and Chinese eye massage using acupressure points around the eyes and face. You also practice exercises for convergence and accommodation, helping your eyes work together and shift focus more naturally from near to far.
Join Teachers Studio live on Wednesday, May 5, 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. ET (4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. PT). For registered participants, this class will be available on demand until November 5, 2027.
