Discover yourself through songwriting in an immersive experience with three-time Grammy-nominated musician Jimmie Dale Gilmore.

Watch Texas singer/songwriter Jimmie Dale Gilmore perform, "The Banks of the Colorado"—a song written for his wife.

Join celebrated singer-songwriter Jimmie Dale Gilmore in a workshop exploring the craft of songwriting as a vehicle for cultivating mindfulness, insight, and communication skills. And especially just for fun.

Designed for both aspiring and advanced songwriters, the class utilizes collaboration as a tool for accessing and sustaining motivation and creative inspiration.

Participants write songs in small groups, explore the process through discussions with the larger group, and perform the brand-new songs at a campus concert. Each evening, there will be a song circle where individual songwriters are invited to share a song with the group. Though attendance at the song circle is optional, it has become a favorite feature of the class for many participants.

Explore what makes songs such an impactful means of human communication. In a supportive setting, everyone is encouraged to interact both as participant and observer in the creative process.

A small amount of time is given to discussion of the business and technical aspects of songwriting.

All are welcome to attend. It is not a prerequisite to play an instrument or to sing.
