Audra Fordin has been in the auto repair business since she was a little girl working side-by-side with her dad. Now she is a 4th generation AutoMD ATU auto shop owner. Through her aggressive marketing focused on the female market, strategic partnerships, and commitment to quality customer service, she has grown the business to nearly three times its original size.

As a woman in a male-dominated industry, Fordin uncovered the need to transform and include the female voice in the automotive narrative.  In 2009, she founded Women Auto Know (WAK) to provide automotive education and resources that empower women of all ages, to become safe, confident, and knowledgeable drivers, passengers, and consumers in and out of the auto repair shop.

Audra is a television host of “WAK” segments on VerizonFios1 television, and expert panelist on The Auto Lab, streaming live on 570AM and 970AM and Internet Radio on theautochannel.com. She has appeared on numerous TV shows including The Today Show, Good Morning America, Anderson Cooper, and Diane Sawyer’s ABC Nightly News. She has also been featured in numerous print publications such as Consumer Reports, The Wall Street Journal, and numerous trade magazines. She has been named New York City's Small Business of The Year, endorsed MSNBC Entrepreneur of the Week, winner of the American Express #PassionProject, and recognized as a Girl Scout Outstanding Troop Leader three years in a row. She is also involved in the National Children's Museum’s life-sized automotive exhibit that travels across the country.
