Bre Scullark joined the Liberation Prison Yoga’s (LPY) teacher training staff for the 2018 training at Omega Institute. She is currently in charge of the LPY program for Young Women at Rikers Island and has taught incarcerated transgender women, women in Protective Custody, and youth for the past four years. She also started and led a program for Correctional Officers at the Manhattan Detention Center.
Scullark created the Urban Peace Squad (UPS), a project bringing yoga classes to Project Housing, where volunteers join residents learning tools to use in their personal practice. Through UPS Bre shared her passion for healing through yoga with the people of her community in Harlem, NY.
Bre Scullark originally trained and obtained her 200 Hour certification as a Vinyasa Flow technique teacher through Pure Yoga East. With a Fashion and Entertainment background, she has channeled her own need for peace and spiritual centeredness into a contributive and empathic practice for her students. She encourages all to move fluidly and rhythmically through a series of asanas for physical and emotional strength. Bre is joyously creating a peaceful, forgiving, loving vision for the world.
