Carl Fulwiler, MD, PhD, is medical director and associate research director at the Center for Mindfulness and associate professor of psychiatry and medicine at University of Massachusetts Medical School. 

He conducts clinical trials and neuroimaging studies targeting emotional factors in health behaviors, as well as cultural adaptations of mindfulness for diverse populations. He also directs the Mindfulness-in-Medicine™ and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy programs for the Center for Mindfulness and is a practicing psychiatrist specializing in the use of mindfulness-based psychotherapy.
