Carol Sanford

Carol Sanford, MBA, MUP, is a thought leader and business consultative-educator who has worked with some of the largest and most successful social movements in the last quarter century.

She worked in South Africa during the transition out of apartheid; in Europe as they transitioned the economy to the Europe Common Market; and in the Middle East to guide global agreements on climate change between businesses and heads of nations. She has also worked with the Google Innovation Lab for Food Experiences on their project to reimagine and reshape our food industry.

Sanford is author of The Responsible Business and The Responsible Entrepreneur, which are required reading at leading business schools, including Harvard, Stanford, Haas School of Business, and MIT. She lectures at universities and businesses and has mentored thousands to become more effective change agents in today’s world.

She offers a fundamentally different method of working that has proven successful on three continents in multiple industries. Her contrarian strategy, leadership, and management approach challenges prevailing myths and proves that many best practices actually undermine success.

She has lead major change efforts in both Fortune 500 and new-economy businesses. Her client list includes long-term relationships with Colgate Europe and Africa and DuPont Canada, US, Asia, and Europe. She also works with new-economy companies like Intel, Agilent and leaders of corporate responsibility such as Seventh Generation.
