Elinor Greenberg

Dr. Elinor Greenberg is a psychologist and an internationally renowned Gestalt therapy trainer who specializes in teaching the diagnosis and treatment of borderline, narcissistic, and schizoid adaptations. She is on the faculty of the New York Institute for Gestalt Therapy, the Gestalt Center for Psychotherapy and Training, and is a former faculty member of The Masterson Institute (a post-graduate training program that specializes in personality disorders). She is an associate editor of the peer-reviewed journal Gestalt Review and author of Borderline, Narcissistic, and Schizoid adaptations: The Pursuit of Love, Admiration and Safety.

Dr. Greenberg has been studying tarot since 1995 and is a psychology consultant to The Tarot School where she earned a third degree in tarot. Many of her articles on tarot can be found on The Tarot School's website and in the Tarot School’s newsletter, “Tarot Tips.” 

She is a member of B.O.T.A. (Builders of the Adytum) and has been certified as a professional tarot reader by both The Tarot School and the American Tarot Association. Dr. Greenberg developed and teaches her own unique blend of tarot and psychotherapy that she calls “Tarot Counseling,” often utilizing the method in her psychotherapy practice to give her clients a fresh perspective on their life.
